New trade agreements promote the textile and garment industry
The "expected launch" of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement plus the new Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) signed between different countries have boosted the exports of Vietnam's textile and garment industry. Vietnam expects its garment and textile exports to grow by 11.5% annually until 2020. As a result, Vietnam needs to acquire many new machineries and facilities to meet this growth target.

Overwhelming result of Saigontex 2016
All the exhibition venue (SECC) spaces were already sold/reserved a few months ago. Although the organizers have increased the number of temporary exhibition tents from 1 to 8, they are still unable accommodate all the interested companies and some of the registered exhibitors are waiting for space to be allocated.
