TPP agreement pushes the development of the textile & garment industry
The 12 TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership) members have just reached the final consensus on the world’s largest free trade agreement. Vietnam has also signed many Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with various countries in recent years. In order to grasp the opportunities presented by these policies, Vietnam is investing heavily in the textile and garment industry in the area of material manufacturing, raising the localisation ratio, and enhancing the sector’s competitiveness. The industry aims to increase its export value to $28.3 billion in 2015.
    
SaigonTex 2015 - biggest event ever
The last Saigontex, which was being held on 9-12 April, 2015, was the biggest event in Vietnam's textile & garment industry since the 1990s.  The event attracted 656 exhibitors from 22 countries/regions and over 15,000 visitors attended.
